Volunteer opportunities

We’re committed to providing volunteering and professional development placements wherever possible, therefore, we are now advertising a volunteer placement with our Community Development Workers (CDWs) which will involve setting up and running minority community support groups, delivering basic mental health and cultural awareness training and several other responsibilities as detailed here.

Applicants should have knowledge of minority communities and mental health conditions, experience with event planning and be warm, open, honest and empathetic.

We’re also looking for a volunteer to work at our Asian Women’s Mental Health Support Group, Pyari Sangat, to help plan sessions, activities, trips, outings and events. The placement will entail group and one to one interaction with the aim to improve individual’s wellbeing, therefore the volunteer will be expected to socialise and build positive relationships with service users. Applicants must be over 18 with the ability to understand/communicate in South Asian languages. More information can be found here. We have received feedback from a recent placement who was with the group, to see the feedback please click here.
