Trust named NHS Employers’ Equality and Diversity Partner for 2015/16

The Trust is pleased to announce that, following a rigorous application process, it has been successfully chosen as one of NHS Employers’ Equality and Diversity Partners for 2015/16.

The 25 partners, which include health trusts, clinical commissioning groups, charities and a commissioning support unit, were selected on the basis of their innovative equality and diversity programmes.

Membership will help us to network with other partners, national stakeholders and the wider NHS, influencing policy and improving performance.

The Trust’s application was led by Paul Singh, Equality and Diversity lead, and winner of an NHS Regional Leader of Inclusivity award. He said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to be one of the 25 Equality and Diversity partners on this National NHS Employers programme.

“This will enable the Trust to demonstrate our continued commitment to providing personalised mental health care through inclusive behaviour.

“I am looking forward to networking with other partner organisations across the country and exploring good practice areas such as gender equality, learning disabilities and workforce race equality.”

This is the second time the Trust has been named an NHS Employers’ Equality and Diversity Partners partner, having previously been one in 2013/14.
