Trust named as a top employer

The Trust has been named as one of the top employers in healthcare, according to the Health Service Journal and Nursing Times.

The list recognises NHS organisations that have worked hard to promote staff engagement and create a positive atmosphere where people can enjoy their work.

Using data compiled from the most recent NHS Staff Survey, independent research firm Best Companies Group analysed each organisation across seven core areas – leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, employee engagement and satisfaction.

This is the second time that the Trust has made the top employers list, being one of only five mental health trusts from the West Midlands region to receive the accolade this year.

Trust Chair, Danielle Oum, said “We are delighted to have been recognised by the HSJ and NHS Employers as one of the top places to work in healthcare. We are extremely proud of our staff, who are our most important asset, and the role they play in ensuring that we deliver high quality patient care.”

This praise builds upon the findings of the Staff Friends and Family Test, where 73% of respondents said they would be either extremely likely or likely to recommend the Trust as a place to work.
