Street Triage features on BBC

Black Country Street Triage teamThe Black Country Street Triage team will be featuring in the first episode of BBC One’s Ambulance series which is due to air on Thursday 26 April at 9pm on BBC One.

In January, a film crew spent some time filming with the team to showcase their work with the ambulance service. One of our mental health nurses, Harriet Lawrence will feature in the programme. Alongside Street Triage, one of our Advanced Mental Health Practitioners in Dudley was also involved in the filming and also might feature in the series.

The Black Country Street Triage team is a collaboration between Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service. It sees mental health workers supporting police and ambulance crews responding to 999 calls that require mental health input.
