Staying safe during Ramadan

As you may be aware, the fasting month of Ramadan has started for Muslims. During Ramadan, it is obligatory for all adult Muslims to fast during daylight hours. This year, the month of Ramadan started on 6 June 2016 and lasts for approximately 30 days with Eid being on the 5 or 6 July. The fast of Ramadan starts at dawn (2:30am) and ends at 9:30pm, making the fast around 19 hours long.

In order to ensure the wellbeing of the public, service users and staff, NHS Choices have produced a handy fact sheet on Ramadan. For more information, please contact the CDW team on 01384 366517.
