This is not a service provided directly by Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Trust.  These are support groups that we have been made aware of in the local area.  This information is intended to help sign post people to groups available locally by other providers.

The charity provides support and local group services in Walsall and Dudley for people with mental health problems and their carers.

The Walsall Enablement Service has been designed to help you build independence and improve health and wellbeing by becoming an active participant in your local community. Through the provision of ‘SafeSpace’ groups, Coffee and Cope groups, Living Life To The Full — a workshop based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), signposting services and individual emotional support, our dedicated team will do all we can to support and empower you to enhance your recovery journey.

SafeSpace is a small, staff-led session which has been set up for people struggling with mental health issues and social isolation. There is always a member of staff at these sessions, and we currently offer three per week.

Coffee and Cope
These are peer-led groups out in the community for those wanting support, to meet new people and to socialise. We currently offer four a week with plans to offer more in different areas.

One-to-one Emotional Support
A friendly listening ear to anyone who may be experiencing mental health issues. For clients, we can offer ‘graded-exposure’ support on public transport, as well as supporting to appointments that may otherwise be difficult.

Living Life to the Full
An eight-week CBT-based workshop which aims to equip clients with more positive thinking strategies and ways to look at problems in a more productive way.
