Our Trust commits to improving the workplace

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (DWMH) has demonstrated its commitment to supporting staff who experience stress, anxiety depression or other mental health conditions in the workplace by signing the Mindful Employers ® Charter for Employers Who Are Positive about Mental Health.

The Charter is one element of the Mindful Employer initiative which is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health in the workplace and supporting businesses in recruiting and retaining staff.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership joins a growing number of Mindful Employer Charter signatories, both locally and nationally. Since Mindful Employers launched in 2004, over 1,400 employers have signed the Charter.

As a mental health organisation, we understand the importance of being supported at work and we continuously strive to create a judgment free, positive work environment that our employees enjoy working in.

Despite only recently signing the charter, we have an established history of supporting our staff through staff benefits, employee engagement strategies, support services and mindfulness and wellbeing training.

Pawiter Rana, Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Committee said: “Signing the charter is an important symbol of our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our staff. We hope that the actions we have taken and will continue to take will allow us to create a healthier, happier and more productive workplace.” He adds: “By caring for our staff, we enable them to provide high quality care services that benefit the local population.”
