Walsall and Dudley Service Users Benefit from Six New Minibuses – 09/05/13

Hundreds of service users will benefit from six new minibuses which have been supplied by ISS Facility Services (Healthcare) for the exclusive use of Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

The 9-seater minibuses will transport service users to and from the Trust’s mental health day facilities and to attend clinical appointments across Dudley and Walsall. They will also be used to transport mail, medical records, bloods and medicines between hospital sites.

The state-of-the-art Renault Master buses have a disabled access ramp and the space for up to two wheelchairs.

Ian Baines, Director of Finance, IT and Estates commented: “We are delighted with our new buses which will benefit lots of service users across Dudley and Walsall. These buses play a vital role in helping people to access our services, as well as transporting important documents and medicines across our area.”

Comments from people who regularly use the buses include “The drivers are always helpful and polite”; “the buses are comfortable, the drivers drop you off promptly and take you to the door”.
