People Who Use Mental Health Services Urged To Have Their Say – 12/09/13

Dudley people who use mental health services are urged to attend an event next week (Monday 16th September) to have their say on the changes that are happening to mental health services under the “Personalisation” agenda.

The ‘Mental Health Personalisation’ day is being held at Brierley Hill Civic Hall 11am to 3pm. The purpose of the event is to explain what personalisation is and dispel any misunderstandings you may have about it.

The event is being hosted by Dudley Mind in partnership with Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, Dudley Council, Health Watch and Dudley Carers Forum.

Trust Chief Executive Gary Graham said: “We want people to be encouraged and supported to have choice over the care they receive.  ‘Personalisation' of mental health services will help us to achieve this by promoting independence and an improved quality of life.

“This event is a great opportunity for people to find out more about Personalisation and how it will benefit our services users. Your feedback will help us to make sure that we provide the best mental health services and the right kind of support to achieve recovery.”
