Community Recovery Service (CRS)

There are two Community Recovery Teams within each borough, the North and the South. They will take referrals directly from the Early Access Service and offer time-limited, evidence-based interventions to service users with a range of conditions that are either severe, highly disabling, and/or psychotic in nature.  Services will be recovery focused, ensuring choice and control by development of personalisation.

The service will offer interventions in line with care clusters for the majority of service users in specialist mental health services. The Trust intends to develop staff skills and competencies in line with the clusters and their required interventions.

The service is intended to achieve the following:

  • Improve engagement
  • Reduce hospital admissions
  • Reduce length of stay when hospitalisation is required
  • Increase stability in the lives of service users and their carers/family
  • Improve social functioning
