Referral Pathway to Mental Health Services

Is this a Mild to Moderate Mental Health Issue of Low Risk?

Dudley Talking Therapy Service:

1. Referrals can be made to the Dudley Talking Therapy Service, Monday to Friday, 9am – 4:30pm (excluding bank holidays). Occasionally, we will have appointments available at short notice due to cancellations.

Please give the patient the Talking Therapy leaflet information leaflet.

2. Patients can also self-refer via or calling Freephone 0800 953 0404.
Primary Mental Health and Talking Therapies, Walsall:

Referral to the Primary Mental Health & Talking Therapies Service is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Please give the patient the Primary Mental Health and Talking Therapies information leaflet to self-refer to the service

Please ensure written referrals contain: Client’s full name, client’s date of birth, client’s address including postcode, client’s NHS number, GP surgery client is registered with, client’s sex, client’s marital status, client’s ethnicity.

Is this a Moderate to Severe Mental Health Issue or High Risk?

Secondary Care:

Referral to the Mental Health Assessment Service, Dudley, is available 24/7.
