EVENT: helping people find work

EVENT: helping people with health conditions find work

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s Thrive into Work service is inviting the public to an event which will give them the opportunity to hear how the team could help them or someone they know find work.

The service, which was launched last year, supports people with health conditions to find, and more importantly, stay in work. Service users who have used the Thrive service will also be on hand to tell their personal stories of how Thrive has changed lives over coffee and cake.

In 2014, 20.5%* of Dudley residents experienced long-term illness or disability which limited them daily. The service can offer support on a one-to-one basis to meet individual needs around employment support, benefit advice and employment retention.

Host of the event David Stocks, who is a former service user and is now employed by the Trust as a vocational specialist, said “We have a very dedicated team who are so passionate about supporting those with a health condition to find work and we are really keen for people to come and find out more about how our service could benefit them or others around them.”

The event takes place at DY1 Community Building, Stafford Street, Dudley, DY1 1RT, from 10am until 1pm on Wednesday 16th January 2019.
