TALCS service to host community event

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s Therapy and Liaison Community Service (TALCS) are joining up with Walsall Linkline and Pathways 4 Life to host a free event on Wednesday 28 March for members of the public to find out more about the range of services available to older people in Walsall.

The Cake and Community event will take place at Pelsall Community Centre, Station Road, Walsall, WS3 4BQ from 1pm – 4pm. It will celebrate the collaborative working of the three organisations and is an opportunity to gain information about other support groups and activities for older people in the Walsall borough.

To help with the celebrations children from Little Rascals Nursery in Aldridge will be putting on a special performance along with performances from local singers Mark Whitmore and Laura Aston. Artists from Lichfield Festival will also be in attendance gathering stories to contribute to their summer festival project.

Vicki Gobsill, Senior Community Mental Health Nurse from TALCS, said: “Our TALCS team work closely with older adults in the community offering a range of therapeutic treatments to help them with their mental wellbeing. These events give us the opportunity to showcase all types of local services and support people in getting the help they need.”

For more information on the event, you can contact 01922 607209. Booking is not necessary.
