Chief Executive appointment

Mark Axcell has been appointed as Chief Executive of Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Mark, who held the role of Acting Chief Executive, has had a long career in the NHS, having worked in both mental health, acute and commissioning Trusts.

Making the announcement, Chair, Ben Reid commented “I am pleased to announce Mark’s appointment, which came after a rigorous selection process involving staff, service users and stakeholders. During Mark’s time as Acting Chief Executive, he has shown strong leadership qualities and has led the Trust through a number of changes. I know Mark has the support of both staff and partners alike and we are confident that he has the values, skills and leadership to guide the Trust into the future, as we continue to provide high quality, sustainable mental health services to the people of Dudley and Walsall.”
