Chair appointed

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Murphy as Chair of the Trust.

Simon, who has been a Board member for four years and is the Trust’s longest serving non-executive director, has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sector; most recently as Chair of Sandwell Local Improvement Finance Trust Company/Sandwell Estates Partnership Limited, bringing together the resources and expertise to invest in health and social care facilities in Sandwell.

Simon commented: “Having worked within the local area for many years I am delighted to be taking up the position as Chair of the Trust. I am particularly looking forward to working with colleagues and partner organisations to strengthen local mental health services and ensure we continue to build upon quality, making sure service users, their families and carers remain at the centre of everything we do.”

Mark Axcell, Chief Executive said: “We are delighted that Simon is taking up the position of Chair. He is our longest serving non-executive director and knows the organisation and its priorities moving forward – I look forward to working with Simon in his role of chair in continuing to develop the delivery of mental health services.”
