CDWs launch a new group

A new after school group for those aged 10 – 16 from minority backgrounds has launched in Halesowen.

Run by The Phase Trust, Women’s Awareness Association and the Trust’s Community Development Workers, the group has been set up to bring together young people from minority communities in a safe, welcoming environment.

Families, volunteers and other agencies joined the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Alan Taylor and Deputy Mayoress Mrs Winifred Taylor at a launch on 24 October 2017. Attendees had the chance to look around the excellent facilities on offer and speak with volunteers that would be supporting the running of the group.

The group meets every Tuesday from 4pm – 5.30pm at The Phase Trust, Owen House, Little Cornbow, Halesowen, B63 3AJ. Sessions cost £1 and there is no need to book. There are plenty of activities on offer including dance, sport, recreational activities and we’re even on hand to help with homework.
